Founded in 1881 by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, HEC Paris specializes in education and research in management sciences. As a leading academic institution in Europe and worldwide, HEC Paris offers a complete and unique range of business education programs for students and corporate executives.

A complete and unique program portfolio

- Master’s programs: leader in Europe for several years, the elite Grande Ecole Master in Management program recruits students with little or no professional experience through a rigorous admissions process, and guides them towards top careers in management through a highly intensive 18-month curriculum. Specialized Masters and MSc programs are one-year Master’s programs designed for students at postgraduate level who want to acquire high-level expertise and professional know-how in their chosen specialization. They are aimed at students with little or no professional experience, who already hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a university in France or abroad.

- MBA program: custom-designed for young managers with 6 years work experience on average, the MBA is a highly selective program which enhances their leadership potential to boost and change their career paths.

- PhD program: designed for professor-researchers, the PhD is a highly selective program which offers high quality internationally renowned training in management sciences.

HEC Paris also offers unique learning opportunities for managers and executives. Executive Education programs:

- TRIUM Global Executive MBA in partnership with New York University, Stern School of Business (NYU Stern) and London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

- The Executive MBA program is a unique transformational experience that offers 8 majors in 14 locations around the world

- Executive Master’s programs, among which Consulting and Coaching for Change with Oxford University Saïd School of Business, and others.

HEC Paris is committed to developing knowledge and the best practices in management. The active involvement of professors in research guarantees that our courses integrate the latest findings in management science.

HEC’s research policy is based on close collaboration with France’s top research institution CNRS: the GREGHEC, joint research unit between HEC and CNRS, based on the HEC campus, comprises five CNRS researchers and some HEC faculty. This allows greater visibility for HEC in the French academic community and easier access to national research funds. In 2009, France’s evaluation agency for higher education and research (AERES) has granted GREGHEC A+ grade, which is the highest distinction possible.

Over the past five years the full-time faculty contribution has accounted for:

• 60 books published in French and 16 other languages, among which: “Strategor”, “International Investment”, “Industrial Management and Logistics”

• 390 articles in refereed academic journals

• 950 presentations at academic conference

Specialized centers

HEC Paris also offers centers of specialized studies open to students and professionals, including: the Entrepreneurship Center, the HEC Europe Institute, the Finance Club and the Alternative Management Observatory. These centers of expertise are complemented by research centers on cross-departmental issues: “Society and Organizations” (SnO) Research Center, the Research Center on Innovation (INNO) and the Research Center on Individuals and Organizations (RIO).

Online education

HEC Paris was the first Business School in France to launch a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) hosted on the Coursera platform. Following the success of its iTunes U platform (which has totaled over 2 million downloads in just three years) HEC Paris endeavors to open up its academic knowledge beyond the confines of the campus.
