Marmara University, founded in 1883, is one of the leading institutions in Turkey, with more than 72.000 students, 16 faculties, 11 institutes, 5 schools, 4 vocational schools, 19 research and application centers and 2 education centers. Marmara University, offers several programs studied in 5 different languages of instruction; Turkish, English, German, French and Arabic. Thus, Marmara University is the only polyglot university in Turkey. It occupies a prominent place among Turkish higher education institutions, with Business Administration, Economy and Theology Faculties offering instruction in both Turkish and English; Engineering, Medicine and Dentistry Faculties offer programs in English, while the language of instruction for Public Administration is French, and Business Informatics program is in German. The University benefits from its unique location with a cultural heritage bridging East and West, attaches great importance to internationalization.
